** Officers become eligible for promotion to Senior Officer after 60 months as a Police Officer. To qualify officers must either possess an Intermediate certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (T.C.L.E.O.S.E.) or have at least 60 hours of college credit from an accredited college or university. Advancement is made by passing a written proficiency examination.
